Our New Blog

Last Spring I had a conversation with a few members about starting a blog for our garden club.  I thought it would be a fun way to not only keep in touch between meetings, but also give us an opportunity to share our adventures.

The idea is to publish a post just once a month.  It could include photographs of the meetings, the speaker, and show a more interactive side of our club ~ a little different than just the minutes would express about each meeting.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to add their thoughts and ideas.  Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any ideas you have and I will happily post something for you for everyone in the club to read and enjoy.

Any of you members who have unique garden related gifts or food that we might like to purchase, may post a permanent side bar image {free advertising!} on the blog so that we can contact you for more information...Teresa Fickling's fresh farm eggs, Nancy Shurling's woodland planters, art shows that anyone may be participating in...you get the idea.  I can help with the logo and word placement ~ I just need the information from you.  {You can see my links for reference.}

There is also the option of connecting with the other Macon garden clubs and cultural groups throughout the city.  For those of you who have joined Pinterest,* you know how inspiring it can be.  We could have a community Pinterest page where we all have the option of adding photos to garden and flower related pin boards.   {*For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pinterest, this links to my page.}

I would love to hear any of your ideas.

Please let me know your thoughts.  If you think this is a good idea and each of you would read it once a month at your leisure, I will go with it.  If it's too much technology and you are not interested, my feelings will not be hurt.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Happy gardening,
Suzanne
